Phoenix Rising in Pewter with Molten Copper

As the (Greek mythological) story goes, an immortal bird (the Phoenix) is born to live 1000 years until it builds a fire of spices and immolates itself to ashes from which a new bird is born and rises to symbolize victory over death. This pen, in Pewter, shows flames rising from the tip toward the bird's tail and on to the Phoenix seen on the upper body, surrounded by the flames. The head of the Phoenix is seen on the cap either being destroyed by fire or rising to (I'll let you decide) the amber crystal on top. The barrel is a copper acrylic with gold strings.
